Gosh Russ the number plate is very close as you say and 'AN' is for Peterborough, where I think your photo might have been taken. It will certainly be possible to identify the colour with a code from Paul and based on the latest (1992) chart I have it could be Silicon Grey or Mercury. May be the same colour as your car and my sei! With regards, Matthew T.

I have a vauxhall Cresta in 1957 that was JAN907 and I was pretty sure it that was registered in East Ham.

Sorry Peter, I have just rechecked and 'AP' is Peterborough under the new system, but under the old was indeed London/ Reading, depending on which source you consult! With regards, Matthew T.

My memory is pretty useless but I do remember trivial things like registration numbers - having difficulty with the new ones though and there are far fewer of those. :?

Okay Paul...sorry for starting that. :D mine was justified however!

What is your RP number by the way, cos it looks like 5705, but mine is 5705. :? I know you have taken a photo, but it is a bit unclear. Have you worked out the build date as well. Mine is 22nd June.
