Thanks Russ, yeah making progress, I need to make sure we are happy with the car before baby gets here (around 5 weeks now :O ) can't wait!

I am amazed at how soft the suspension is on this XM, just leaning on each end gives 150-200mm of movement, so soft! The hydractive solenoids are switching with the doors opening / closing too so that seems to be working. I just want to get it on the road and see what it is like compared to the last two :)

Very wise I think, getting it all sorted for the sprog. Eliminate as much as possible.

I currently don't have a working electro valve. I have been by passed. But it will be sorted soon hopefully. But they are soft, and such a delight over our rutted tracks we call roads in this country. Eventually I want to get some michelins, which will improve things even more.

I've got one you can have. It's pretty shabby but complete.

I'll PM you.

A Hydractive 2 car will be softer at the front due to larger corner spheres.

Right, well the MOT is booked for 4pm today :)

A few bits and bobs to sort out but not much, might need a new headlight bulb and there appears to be a small oil leak at the back of the engine, fingers crossed.

:) we have a 12 months ticket :)

Few issues identified but nothing serious, it is not warming up properly at the moment, I think the thermostat is stuck open, no real hardship apart from the waste of new glycol!

There is also a rather significant oil leak at the back of the engine, only noticable one it was hot and sitting on the ramp! Looks like it is the cam cover gasket, all down the back of the engine and dripping at a considerable rate :O

I took this picture just after it recieved it's award :D

Other than that I have cleaned all the door shuts (filthy!) sorted the washer jets, although they have wires going into them, are they heated? I also fitted a pair of upgraded rear speakers too, even though I still don't have a head unit :D

I took out the rear mounts , this was less than easy again due to the standard Citroen hidden screws :D there was one on the far side of the speaker next to the window under the speaker cover. Once this was discovered it all became much easier, I soldered up an adaptor so I could use the standard loom connector and from there it was just simple fitting :)

With the covers on you can't tell they are there :)

More tinkering tomorrow, I will try and get some more bodywork done if the weather allows :)

Well done J. That's great news. It's looking great, you're really getting stuck in with it.

Hope those oil stains in the photo aren't yours!

Stunning progress!

Can you come and sort my lot out! I dont seem to find the time that people on here seem to!

Prehaps its the fact that my Project car doesn't live with me at my place, because it cant as we have NO drive!

Annoying, I know Id get so much more done.. but there we are.

Good work, and well done on your MOT!
