A shame about the aircon ECU, but otherwise it looks great Jim. Lovely leather interior and I quite like the darker wood...even if it is a little shiny!!!
Look forward to seeing it at a rally.

Can't believe you've done so much this morning. As I have said in my blog, it's like the Arctic here.

I don't know how Citroen have done it really; you'd have thought a non-sunroof car with a black interior would be sombre and claustrophobic but it's just the opposite. I love it :P
Mine's a no sunroof car at the moment and it's lovely and airy...

I have a need Russ. After a week cooped up inside an oppressive office I MUST get outside. And often whatever the weather. To be honest I can feel quite out of sorts until I've had a spell out in the fresh air and then all is better... Having a needy car gives me that reason to go outdoors and working keeps you warm...

Even in the depths of winter I have doors and windows open in the house and my gas bill is quite cheap. My kids moan about the heat (or lack of it) in my house...

I'm one of those 'outdoor' people. In another life I'm sure I might have had a penchant for hiking up Snowden in the middle of winter...

An XM Decap Will   You could start a trend...

Fingerers crossed it'll be back in place soon and doing the job it's intended to do: letting sun in but keeping rain out...

Have another read of the description Will - states that that most notable area is the nearside rear wing needing some remedial work... ;)

I saw it for the last time this morning Jim - what make it evident that it went to an enthusiasts home is that he turned up in another XM... ;)

A very nice chap indeed - turns out that his first XM was a Prestige and the spec and LPG made it a must have for them.

He's had quite a few including a Meteor Grey Series 1 V6 24v as well...

The V6 is looking good Jim BTW. Glad that you are enjoying the XM and I am sure that with a bit of your spannering skills it'll be near perfect in no time at all... :D

Pleased it's gone to an enthusiast Franklin... That's good. I presume nobody we know from here or the FCF then?

If he was then he could learn ever so much about his new car from the two forums.

This car looks quite something, and I am envious of your soild roof- I like cars without a sunroof!
Putting me to shame getting outside in the cold whilst I put it off.

Interested in your and Will's feelings that the ride height is a bit high. How does one tell? Remember that this novice has much to learn....

I've never met or spoken to him before and don't think he's a forum man Jim.

I did ask if he was a CCC Member and apparently he used to be, and is thinking of renewing again in the near future...

So does this one where it comes to XMs Rohan. I'm still very much at the bottom of a steep learning curve...

I was comparing with how high my old Prestige rode and taking a comparison from that and also, how high a Xantia rides along with a gut feeling it was a bit on the high side...

I don't know if it's so much the case with the XM but on the Xantia ride height is absolutely critical in the achievement of a good ride.

That's good. Which reminds me I still have to write up my life and times with the Prestige for Robert's column...
