Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Love that colour. The desire was strong on that one. Wonder where it ended up.....

The Xantia Malcom lent me is a boggo 1.8 petrol. Pleasantly surprised. Heard some negative comments about this particular variant. Fuel consumption seems ok and has a decent spread of power, almost diesel like. In fact it feels similar to my BX valver, ie surprisingly torquey. V6 would be my preference, but I understand I would need to tow a fuel bowser behind me!! :-D

Not at all Mark :D

On a reasonable run and with not too much right foot and sport button action 35mpg is achievable..

I use mine as my daily driver. Admittedly i don't do a huge mileage but I get high 20s running round town and running to work and back...

More economical than my Activa

For what they are they are very frugal indeed. The auto adaptive gearbox accounts for some of it and the brilliant engine the rest.

Very few Xantias in Poland. Saw a petrol sinker today on LPG, rear end full height, bouncing about doing suicidal overtaking manouevers! Ohh and loads of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust!

Interesting...2.1 Diesel Activa....never knew they did those, or was it a 'one off special' 8-)

Left hand drive markets had most engine versions on Activas, 2.1 td, hdi, 2.0 16v and by no means least the v6. They also had tcts that were only available for rhd markets. V6 activas are stolen a lot in France and used as get away cars!

 really....., a victim of its own abilities. :D

I knew V6 Activas were available but had no idea of the diesels. A pity we didn't get more of a choice. Might have meant more people would have bought them.

Typical Citroen marketing....
