Indeed but I'm still planning a holiday up your way when the weather gets a little more spring-like...

So whichever comes first :D

Oh no, keep your HDi Paul. Don't get rid of that one as she's been very good to you and they are the most excellent cars for the daily grind. Get rid of any other Xantias you have though so you can concentrate fully on the XMs but yes, do get at least one XM on the road first

Hopefully we'll be able to plan my holiday in such a way I can spend plenty of time with you helping with the XMs. Now that's my kind of holiday :D

At some point though I do want to spend a bit of time down around Porthmadog travelling on the little railways...

Done a tiny bit today... but revealed MORE unexpected work.. :(

Removed scuttle panel, and hoovered all the leaves and snail shels out etc. Robbed a good right hand display from the D base model car, and started re assembling the dash.. then forgot what screws held the Heater Curcuit board to the body... so stopped again...

Side tracked to cleaning up the outside, leaves etc and then moved to the washers.. No motor noise's at all, so pulled the arch liner out, more cob webs etc to hoover out, anyway, swapped both washer motors, hey presto life.. but still no water... Turned out the jets were blocked.. So swapped them too! Normal washer service resumed...

So a little vaccuming around the inner arch, I came across a weak patch... just behind the bottom part of the wing, and down to the out rigger.. Not a hard weld, but OK to do....

Removed rear wheels, pipe work at the calipers is ok, but she needs rear pads.. so thats to do too.

Thats all for today.

Ahh, the old washer jet issue. Must sort mine out too. They pump water fine, just nozzles are a bit blocked. Rear one doesn't work at all unfortunately. Could have disconnected of course.

Shame you have found a spot of rust Paul, but I'm sure it isn't as bad as the 24v sills though!
It amazes me what gets stuck in the scuttle. I'm still fishing out sycamore seed pods from last year out of mine.

Yea, actually, the rear end around the subframe mounts are pretty solid..

The 24v was some challenge, I must fix her fuel pipe, get her running and get under and have a look how it looks 6 months on...

Good news then. Excellent.

Is the fuel pipe a bit of a *$#% to do on the 24v....

Well hopefully it's still all solid under there.

Yes russ .. as she is a 90 degree v engine with the air con compressor over the back that needs removing first and the belt tensioner is Not the easiest to do.. If i get her to Cxm rally end of the year ill show you the tension

the fuel pipe from metal to rubber join is just down behind there and with the compressor in the way it needs moving...er ...
