It's good to know there's someone who can do good repairs Norman. I think that's the avenue I shall explore for the time being...

Just a case of finding someone local now... That's the hard bit.

I've had a chat with the place who do my MOTs. A good old-fashioned garage. He's confident he can do a repair...

It's going in on Saturday to see...

I'm hoping he can make it good enough to put the day when I need to consider having a custom made one built a little way into the future...

I'm now cogitating over the purchaser of four of these Falkens...

I just can't like the idea of wrong sized tyres and it's really bugging me...

They look like a good deal and I hear they're well regarded...

Not going for the Michelins Jim? I am just looking at 4 tyres myself and can get those Falkens here as well for 71 euros but they show not great fuel consumption? I think I am going to splash out for once on the michelins energy savers, they seem to be very comfortable.

Russ, I missed those Michelins :o Must look again... Thanks!

It's a funny old world....

XM ES9 V6 exhaust. Unobtainable...

Xantia V6 Exhaust. Just bought a complete one on the bay of fleas for a grand total of £77 from Poland.

I don't need one but for that kind of money it can't be missed. It'll store for as long as needed.

And another V6 owner has already bought and fitted one and found it more or less perfect...

Now, if only a Xantia system could be made to fit but that's impossible - they really are as different as they possibly can be...

Another fleabay bargain. Excellent. I was looking for 15" michelins however, suited to mine which isn't quite up to V6 speeds! Good price though.

Have you tried Black Circles? They are good.

I see what you mean about fuel efficiency Jaap. So I take it A is the best and G the worst..

I must think again...

Trouble is, in my size the Michelins are £30 more each than the Falkens... I like Michelins. I have Energy savers on my Activa....

I think I may go for these Avons

They seem like a good all-rounder...

What a minefield

Also you have to be cautious about 65 section tyres and make sure of a V speed rating. Most aren't as they're van tyres...
