I agree Mark I love my Michelins... Energys on the Activa and the back of the Xantia V6 8-)

I believe BF Goodrich are also a Michelin, just a slightly down-market budget version. I've used them for years now and have been delighted with them...

They've got to be better than what's on there now

For what it's worth Russ, this is what Wikipeda have to say..
BFGoodrich is an American brand of tires. It is now separated from the Goodrich company and owned by Michelin. Some Michelin tires for auto racing are now branded BFGoodrich to increase brand awareness.
It's generally substantiated by other articles as well...

Well, if they are owned by Michelin, then they must be up to the same standard. Have to bare this in mind.
I's amazing who owns who....

Why?

If they are a budget priced product, they are likely to be made to a lesser standard.

They're not budget in that they're real bargain basement jobs Will... Like Sunteks or similar...

They are still reassuringly expensive, just not as expensive as Michelin...

Budget is the wrong word really...

I realise that, but Michelin tyres usually have a lot more silica in than other brands, which is why they last longer, but still grip well.

Indeed, another well-known brand now owned by them. It's amazing just who Michelin owns these days...

Wasn't Kleber once OE fitment to all Renaults?

I remember a neighbours Peugeot 505 came with Kleber tyres on it from new.
