I prefer the first set of alloys. Not a massive fan of the second. Great on a CX, not so much XM.

It's interesting to see how these wheels look but for me it shows how right the original wheels looked. Fat rubber is more
appealing to me than liquorice laces. The GS had a terrific set of tyres and wheels, but it's the thick rubber that appeals; it spells comfort. The XM was designed to have quite big arches to accomodate the wheel travel, so best leave it that
way.
About the Vauxhall Insignia: yes, it's big but it's a nicely designed and well-made machine. The paint is first rate and I would be quite happy to have one, much more so than a 3-series. While I'm here, the last Vectra was good too, in some ways superior to the Insignia in the practicality stakes.

They both look well. I like the Pug wheels on it, but the C GAT rims also look mean! a contender for your modified Prestige plans Franklin?

Seeing Neil sign up on here made me think what some Dotz Hanzo alloys would look like on a Black XM...
I must say..... Bloody awful. That's just wrong

Living next door to one and seeing it every day I quite agree. Interior looks a bit cheap but compared to the rest of the herd it does stand out as being fairly easy on the eye and it's not been a spot of bother at all... He initially looked at a white top of the range one and that looked quite something. The dark blue one he has is not quite such a stunner. Paint does seem good after getting up close to it with a leather...

Neighbour took a lot of trouble in choosing and tried out many before settling for the Insignia. All the others I found quite revolting and was quite pleased and relieved when he went for the Poxhall. I was really worried at one point I'd have to live next door to a hideously ugly Fraud S-Max thing. I'm sure they're excellent but even neighbour agreed he couldn’t live with the looks.

It's bad enough my other neighbour has a Fraud Mundaneo - Horrible fat, lumpen thing that seems massive and obese.

Those Pug wheels looked better than I thought they would. Must admit that I don't think that the Dotz Hanzo alloys look too bad! As you say, looks mean! However, think as they've already been used in the "Citroen Scene" I'd ideally like to go for something different...

Might mock up some more today...

Thanks Franklin but all credit for it must go to Russ. It's cropped out of the sample picture Russ sent me of the poster print of my XM so strictly it's his ;)

I'm absolutely delighted with the poster and even more delighted I can have a little version of it as an avatar. Thanks Russ :D
