Japp likes the idea of half emptying the barrels so they are then reasonable to handle.
Should be done anyway under Elf & Safety.

: ) Ha! (what you don't know is that the boss who lives 200 yards from work, drives to work in a BIG Range Rover every day, and fills up it's tank from yet another tank (tax free diesel for the machinery....)

Not to worry though, need my job ;~)

As for pumps, should be bosch, it humms with iginition on and engine off though.

Sounds electrical Jaap...sure it isn't a Lucas or Epic. Sorry not sure when the specific pumps were used. Bosch is mechanical, I have noticed no hum. The others I believe are electrical??? :?

Naughty Boss...Red Diesel user is he. Oh well. Shsss!!

Should be Bosch though, read somewhere it needs to be taken off when doing the timing belt.
Don't know how to put it back all together and get the timing of it right. Nice challenge, wonder why they are so hard to find, these pumps. Maybe more people drive on olive oil than I thought!

So do I.

The only way I can describe the Bosch pump, is it has a large round thing on top of it! Not a great description!!!
Looks a little more complex or larger than the other pumps.

There's a few pictures of a typical Bosch VP20 (as fitted to the 2.1TD) here

Many pictures show the pump in various states of undress though...
