ah, my central locking works by remote just fine and dandy and I have nothing on that plug too - it may explain the big thing plugged inside the passenger side door behind the door card though!

One thing - R267 would lock but not flash the indicator lights unless you deadlocked the car (top button, Sam), whereas N477 has a hissy fit with the indicators when it locks and the same when it deadlocks.

Oh, Sam, don't rush to deadlock R267 or the alarm will annoy you as it goes off!

The IR remote locking sensor plug was retained on the Mk2 XM wiring looms.
It was not used on any UK Mk2 XM's which all had RF remote locking sensor in the dash under the glove box.

That did happen once, although she's been deadlocked for the past few days and been fine. Unless I just can't hear it which is entirely possible!

Bottom of passenger door card is dipping wing mirror ECU if I remember correctly.

Ah, the passenger wing mirror doesn't work, but it did when I first viewed her. May have a look at the weekend and see what's unplugged!

I put the XM to work today helping mum clear her garden

Image

This is the rusty stain left on the driveway after the coolant change, where I opened the radiator bleed valve

Image

Filled the rear storage pockets with tat as well

Image

Image

Is there a jack under with the rear tyre? I've found the wheel nut socket.

I also tried out my new glass polish. The muck on the cloth is from the hazy bit only!

Image

Is thislightening of the heater strips ok and normal? Not had to use them yet, doubt I will either!

Polished the rear windows in the end, they are much cleaner now!

Image

Did a second tip run

Anyone want any free day lillies in Marlow tomorrow?!

Done! Bit more to do tomorrow though. Hopefully the weather will be as cracking as it was today, was a joy to not be in the office!

Oh, and the EML light went off! I glanced that way at a junction and noticed it, so drove like a loon on the way home (very familiar and lovely bit of road, sport mode was put to good use) and the hesitation at high revs has gone! Went up to 5.5k then changed up a treat! So, what electrical gremlins could be causing this? No idea if the light will stay on, I had a Puma a few years ago and the light was on that the whole time I had it, lambda or something I think, and after pulling the battery it would come on before 100 miles!

Lexia looks a bit more justifiable now... Need to look at the sports suspension light on startup, not done that yet and read about the issues on here.

Sam
There is a jack in with the spare wheel. And I did say the gearbox hesitation disappeared when the eml light wasn't on.

Oh n477 is in Scotland. A very comfy 400 mile drive today. Won't say what speed I was doing up the m74 but I have to check the exhaust as it is rattling a little at the back box.
