Favour?

Post by Eddie nuff » Thu May 09, 2013 3:12 pm

Long shot I know but . . . is anyone traveling up from Kent to the North this coming week? I have a headlining from this and, due to work and other commitments, can't collect it myself.

It is possible to post it but it's awkward size makes that prohibitive.

I used to live near there about 43 years ago and we are going to Scotland on Sunday - doesn't really help though does it. :)

Thanks for your offer Norman, but it seems your services may not be needed. The headlining is not the kind I need. Only after I sent photos of the courtesy light and the aperture it fits to did it become obvious that this G plate scrapper had the newer bigger "H" style courtesy light and so is no good for my car.

Thanks anyway.

Eddie has already tried Edwards & Son Norman as I mentioned earlier they once had a 'G' plate sei with the same light as his, although the car now seems to have gone. I fear you will be very lucky to find a headling of the type you are after Eddie as they were only fitted on extremely early cars. With regards, Matthew T.

A late car with no sunroof is the way forward.

It's finding one that's being scrapped. The newer ones are usually being saved.

Possibly plan a trip to France or Germany Eddie as most of the cars there early and late seemed to be without sunroofs!! Regards, Matthew T.
