What the....?

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

That's probably what it will be in a couple of years time.

Do you know what, I very nearly said the same thing. In the future some arse*ole in a position to
administer their own particular brand of distorted reality will decide that high pressured hydraulics
are dangerous or anything using precious natural resources must be punitively taxed; oh hang on,
aren't they the one's in "power" at the moment

They already decreed it was 'dangerous', hence the C5 onwards having conventional (inferior) braking systems.....

Isn't it that they decreed the brakes using the same system as anything else was dangerous?

I mean, it is blatantly obvious that an integrated system (with obvious instant feedback of failure in both lights and power steering then suspension before affecting the brakes that will use the weight of the car to stop when everything else is almost dry) is far more dangerous than a separate brake system (controlled by electronics with the possibility of electronic or hydraulic failure occurring leaving you with absolutely no ability to stop and no warning till you try).

I think PSA also felt that buying an off the shelf brake system with all the assisted this and fancy that ready done was cheaper than adding the bits to the 'normal' hydraulic system.
