I have assessed and reported the condition as far as possible, given the very tight garage and the car would not rise up! The body does not need a lot, although there is definitely some welding on the sills and the interior was just rather dirty. There may not be that much interest to restore I guess given the fairly basic spec and lack of MOT etc., while other cars are available with less hassle and we cannot keep them all. In a week or two I will contact the owner and establish what they would like to do, although there is still the matter of where to break the car if that is to be pursued and who might be available to assist! And a shame to let waste when theres pleanty who CAN BENEFIT from parts off the car...

Auto box, body panels, as theres pleanty of autos and Manderin models around!!! Me included..

I know, I know....if a group buy is to go ahead, some details need to be planned out. Where on earth is it going to be stored for example.

I am pleased to report some further positive development in that Liz (Bob's Daughter) is very kindly exploring whether a suitable area nearby for dismantling can be arranged. The plan is to remove the car and take off what is required, ideally within a day, after which the remains shall be carted away. I still hope that assistance can be obtained and if the engine and box are wanted I would certainly need help. If I did the work on my own I would most likely concentrate on the doors, wings and nosecone, head and taillights, strut tops, engine ancillaries and seats (if wanted). In further response to Russ the removal would probably be desirable in the next four weeks and I could assist with arranging overnight accommodation if required. Regards, Matthew T.

Okay, thanks for the offer Matthew. I'll keep you posted with my plans next month. I know 22nd june weekend is busy for me. I think that is the only 'cant do' weekend.....
