I saw this, it was at the Stratford CCC event last weekend, had the price tag on there too. Shame about the dented wing but the rest of the car seemed to look good in the metal.
Fact is, if it was only £200-£300 its worth more than that in parts surely. If prices don’t rise soon (I personally think they already are) then they will soon die out. Who wants to spend money repairing their £200 car when its only worth a few pennies, unless they love their Xm not many will. I hate to think how many have gone for scrap.
Speaking of that, my local Citroen dealer had a Saxo in for the scrappage scheme this week. The service guy said it was mint, one lady owner, bright silver VSX trim and only 17K miles! Not really into Saxos but that’s just not right!
I mean £200 might, might just get you a set of tyres for some small cars, and that will buy you a functioning car, I don’t understand them being that cheap.
I suppose the main fact is its just an old car to the majority of people, so yes its probably worth very little. However to the enthusiast its more than an old cheap car. You generally don’t buy one because it’s a cheap car, generally people must buy them because they want one, they know it might cost to keep them going, but they are going to be left with a great car, a car which very few people know about yet alone own one and something different.
There i go with my Xm tinted glasses again
