Welcome to ES9 V6 ownership

How do you find the ES9 compares to the PRV V6s you have?

Re: Another ES9 V6...
The V6 Si is gold, a 1989 car first registered in Jan 90. The front suspension hydraulics failed and I haven't fathomed the problem; I guess new fork legs are in order. I think I prefer driving the manual PRV 24v over the ES9, then the PRV 12v. The 2.0 turbo is good, too, and will be my winter driver when I replace a cracked turbo. The diesel estate is the least satisfying; fast but not quick, and ponderous.

Re: Another ES9 V6...
That is all very interesting Alan and especially for me the two S1 cars you own! The gold V612v must be one of the earliest left in the UK and it would good to know the RP. All early V6 are now very rare and especially the si model. I have a gold V6sei that was registered in August 1990 with RP4938 and Eddie Nuff has an even older 2.0si! If you could give us some more detail on the hydraulic problem I am sure someone can help, for example are you loosing fluid? Although I am an S1 man and have only once driven an ES9 (Citro Jim's car) that I found very smooth and powerful I endorse your order of preference for the PRV 24v over the 12v, closely followed by the 2.0 turbo. Please let us know what colour is your S1 24v and it would be great to see some photos of the cars. Also where exactly are you in the UK? With regards, Matthew T.
