Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Might be worth editing your original post, Paul.
That could put a prospective buyer or new owner of the car completely off if they read this thread, when in fact the car is fine...!

MTXM wrote:I think Danny's description is fair Russ and there really is very little rust on the car, except for the usual surface corrosion on the subframes and spare wheel carrier, although as I recall even those had been recently treated. The Brodie XM sounds like more of a donor project, ie. pick up a blown engine car with a good body and transfer the 24v bits across! Regards, Matthew T.
Yes, I suppose that is what he might of meant, surface rust on things like the wheel carrier ect.
Know all about that...had to do mine... It does look like a great car, I just don't particular like the colour I'm afraid.
I agree about the mandarin 24V...what a great project though ....A complete nightmare of course, but a good one to take on

dream on!!!

It's definitely a project car, needs a lot of TLC.

If you mean the WHM car Neil it has not yet sold and I guess there is just not enough interest out there at present! Regards, Matthew T.

Nothing wrong with green XM's, bought more of them than any other colour.
Now Mk1's, petrol and an extra 6 valves all gets the thumbs down from me.
Hi Matthew
I think some of the confusion comes from your earlier post that says the green car made its reserve on ebay and sold in the last few seconds.

My apologies John and you are quite right that I made a mistake and the green car did NOT reach the reserve. I am also sorry for seeming to malign green XM and my first was an Emerald VSX which I thought was the 'bees knees' at the time! The fact you have had so many does nevertheless confirm that the colour was popular!! Regards, Matthew T.

It certianly was a very popular colour, I wonder if it was a result of the British Racing Green cliche!...appeal more to the Brits.
Infact I would say, Mandarin and grey for mk1 and green for mk2 were the most popular colours for XM in my neck of the woods.
Green suits the XM shape,..... just not my thing.
