mot

Post by robertmnorton » Fri Jul 26, 2013 7:02 pm

Hi all, another mot out of the way, advisory on rear suspension steel pipe corroded. Having replaced all rear axle pipes last year I can only assume it is the cylinder feed pipe, I will ask, car was dropped back at home while I was at work so couldn't query. However the point is, these pipes are no longer available and haven't found a supplier on my internet search. Am considering going to the local hyd specialist and getting a full length flex hose made up, anyone been down this route ?

Excellent news on the MOT Robert :D

I'm sure someone like Pirtek will be able to fabricate up a replacement pipe but then again A flexible one should be fine...

Those pipes are pretty thick so a bit of cleaning and painting should be good to see it Ok for a while yet...

I wouldnt worry about feed pipe corrosion on them.. they are rather thick walled..

However.. if you feel you do want a spare ive LOADS of feed pipes front and rears from subframes and strip downs ive done .. ;)
