XM specialist South East

Post by Charles M » Thu Aug 08, 2013 3:09 pm

Still very happy with the car, but I'd like to get a good inspection done to highlight things that might need doing, plus re-commission the cruise control (bellow gone but replacement in boot).

I have been recommended BL Autos in Welwyn (they're also SM specialists which might be useful) and I have seen mentions online of Chevronics in Hitchin. Anybody have any experience good or bad with those or with others in the Slough/West London area?

Had good experience myself with Xantias with Ray Williams of Burnham off the A4 on Slough Industrial Estate, and Forge Motor Company in Cookham, nr Maidenhead. Both long-established Citroen Indies (Forge since 1930s!) Both should be able to help you out.

I love the idea of going to a Citroen specialist near Slough that has been going since 1934 - only 8 years after the factory was opened! Thanks very much, that is extremely helpful.

People also seem to speak very highly of BL Autos Charles so it may be worth checking out both! With regards, Matthew T.

I speak very highly of them too... Mind you, go there and the car is likely to emerge with a V6 in it

BL Autos are famous for their V6 Xantia Activa conversions..

Well, having been over to see Patrick Rugg today, they won't need to do a conversion!

No - he sold that one at the Rally.

Anyway, the last thing I need is another V6 LHD Diravi steered Citroen! (one might say the last thing I need is another car, but that would make you a spoilsport).
