Well done but how about the poor guy who got his clutch burned because of all this, I don't think he'll like that citroen at all!:)

Well saved. There is a partition window on eBay at the moment. Good luck with the restoration. :)

To be honest I think the recovery guys were amateurs, almost towed it into one of the underground pillars (and would have done if I hadn't been there) and then towed it up the ramp with the 4X4 in 2 wheel drive. I would have put it in low range or at least 4 wheel drive so it's hardly surprising the clutch burnt out. And when the car was scraping along the ground when we got it out of the car park they tried to lift the car by its rear wheel arches! I soon put a stop to that, apart from damaging the car it would have been pointless with a car with hydraulic suspension. Just not a feeling of good general care.
Just hoping that no damage will have been caused on the trip or when unloading in Wales, will find out on Tuesday.

On the plus side, at least the car was recovered in one leg, rather than being transferred between trucks 5 times like my previous breakdown with the AA, taking 12 hours for 150 miles!

Did you organize the recovery, if so how did you decide on this operator and how much has it cost?
