IMO of course...! I'm not a DS fan - sure I can appreciate how advanced it was for it's time however they don't appeal to me.

There was a design comparison a few years back in a Citroenian that discussed the styling similarities of different Citroens.

I found this blog about an American XM. The only really odd thing is the writer considers the car to look anonymous. Now that is strange. I know taste is subjective but within limits. Nobody thinks Coke is salty. How could anyone consider the XM´s stlyling to be so mild as to be "anonymous". You´d think he was talking about an 80s Toyota or a VW Jetta.

Compared to most American cars I guess the styling takes a little getting used to and if compared to some hideously outlandish creations that have consumed most of the worlds' supply of chrome I guess it is a bit mild in their eyes...

I was thinking of all the boxy upright cars and the rounded later ones in the vein of the Toyota Camry and Buick LeSabre, for example. Compared to an Aztek the XM is very restrained. On the whole though, the XM is a lot pointier and more idiosyncratic than most of what America drives. The one thing that might be different is the scale. The XM is probably a bit smaller than the average US car.
