Spot on I reckon. Citroen never officially sold the XM in america or canada.. So I think your correct!

they do exist in the states i have seen at least two for sale (not cheap) they were imported by a independant and americanised.

A company called CXA imported approximately 20 XM and federalised them to the cost of an additional $15000.

They do pop up occasionally.

Not that that one hasn't been federalised as it was imported to Canada.

This one has, but it's had the correct headlamps refitted.
