What to buy? 12v or 24v?

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

According to Google 6000 TL is about £1800 over here in the UK.

£1800 for a "restored" and totally "rustfree" CX over here would look good value indeed...

What has been done with the doorcards and seats will appeal to some but not others - but probably that's all that was available over in Turkey..

I'd say go and have a look at, if it's as rustfree as it says it is and looks as good in the pics - buy it.

I talked to owner and he will sell it for £1400 but he replaced the engine with Renault Manager engine. It really bugs me.

We didn't get the "Manager" but according to Wikipedia it's basically a Renault 21...

Which Manager engine has it got, as it appears that there is the original 1.7 and then a later 2.0...

It's up to you but certainly worth a look - an engine change will put off the purists but depends what it's like...

Sorry, in Turkey Renault 21 is called Manager.

I am a little bit confused. he says 2000 cc but not with injection

Renault 21 had 1.7 Transverse engine, or older family OHC 2.0 but that was In Line not transverse.

Certainly did. And our 21 was a 1.7 carb.

At least it is still a French engine...

The 2.0 OHC and 2.2 OHC engines in the CX are related to Reanult anyway. The 22 TRS CX engine was used in the Reanult 25.. also used in the Peugeot 505 too..
