spares for an XM

Post by Xmpower » Tue Nov 05, 2013 7:14 pm

hello again

Firstly thanks for all the advise in regards to my estate, I have decided to keep it. :D

Its now parked up in a friends farm on axle stands
I do have some spares for the car which I wont be needing as I will not be using the car for a while.
I have a complete set of front head lights and rear lights, a complete parcel shelf, various switches they will gather dust in my garage
got all this from a local scrap man who had a petrol estate I managed to take these bits off before the car was crushed :|
let me know if need any of the above.
Also a rough price what they are worth
ps I bought a Reno scenic 1.9 dci 2004 (its cr*p in comparison cant over take without doing a flinstones !!! but at least the misses is happy)

cheers

i dont think Xmpower is dismantling his estate,

he says he is keeping it now, but has some spares that he got from one in a scrap yard before it was crushed,

i think if were i with those spares and keeping/owning/running a XM, i would keep hold of the front and rear lights,

as these items will only become harder to source if you ever needed to

Hello
Thanks for the messages but just to confirm I'm keeping my car
In regards to the front lights il probably sell them if I get the right price as my car has
Plastic covers on them (great piece of kit and recommended to all)
Thanks

ok
although the plastic head light protectors only realy protect against things like stone chips, no from the likes of some plonker pulling out in front of you, heavens forbid and all that   ;)

Hi Xmpower
I am interested in primarily the offside wing mounted light cluster. Mine's got an ole innit. There is one on ebay at the moment but it has four layers and my car's has only three. As I have only owned the car for 24 hours I am not sure about variations in model years yet. I might be persuaded to take the headlights as well if they will fit. My car is a 96 if that helps.

If we are talking estate wing rear light then the fourth layer (bottom one) is a clip on body coloured panel.
No design variations for XM estate rear lights throughout production.

Thanks John, I now realise the pic on ebay is of a light cluster from a red XM, hence my confusion. As it is half the price of another one that has appeared with the correct colour add-on I think I will buy that one and make the change myself.
