I can share that sentiment Charles. I did exactly the same when I got mine. Couldn't resist!

Tip to Charles -and sorry if everyone knows this but it was completely unknown to me: The carpeting will become showroom-new after a session with one of those "professional" vacuums that use suction+water. Hired one (from H&S or what's it called) to do up a rental property I have, and I regret I hadn't tried them earlier. The amount of dirt that they remove is hard to believe. Even when the special (and dear) shampoo had finished and I carried on with just the hot water, it kept cleaning virtually as much -kept filling up its bucket with black water! One of the next weekends I'm renting one again just to do the XMs -I believe they'll smell like new (and be good for my allergy too).

Looks a treat Paul. I shall be seeing it in the metal tomorrow when Charles visits on the way home. I'm looking forward to it and I'd better hide mine as I reckon it'll look very shabby against that gleaming one

She looked and sounded lovely earlier
Should have an even softer ride down the M6 and M1 now as there is no space in the back for anything more!
Just watch the bottom of those boxes when you take them out Jim
And dont squash the cat

Re: Paul's 2.1Sd manual COMPLETE. Legal. Final Pics...
Paul, I see there are 52 pages in this thread, and perhaps I can read more later, but I see it was an engine out job (everything out job by the sound of it!), so probably won't answer my question. My question relates to my S1 '93 XM CT 2.0 turbo petrol. It almost certainly needs a new clutch, and I am wondering if I can change it in situ? Jim said he has done it on a Xantia but passed me onto you as having more experience on an XM. The pedal is going close to the floor before disengaging. I am presuming there is not much or no adjustment there, is that correct? Any other details or advice you can add would be most helpful?citroenxm wrote:Ah what an experiance.. dooing up and sorting an xm Then selling it...![]()

You can do the clutch in situ, even on a 2.1 diesel.
