Hi all, because my prospective XM acquisition is an SX I note from the specifications a rear sunblind isn't standard. So, if anyone has a spare rear parcel shelf (they were all black weren't they?) with an integral blind I'd be interested. I'd need to work out how to hook it up but that's not a major issue. I can't remember if they were plastic clips at the edge of the roof - my memory's obviously going !)

The plastic panel has recesses in for the hooks to engage into on cars fitted with blinds.

Still eagerly anticipating the acquisition; likely to be late Jan early Feb... But I'm already planning what to do, based upon the information I have. As I have mentioned, I would really like to obtain a replacement clutch cable as I know they're rare and certainly as I'm planning a trip abroad in it, I'd want to carry a spare RHD one.

But the other thing is, there's usually a Rally in the Spring at Burghley House (so I would want to be there in the XM) and I wondered if anyone would be there who could plug the car into a Lexia. Alternatively I don't know if they have one at Chevronics - if so I could arrange to have the car diagnosed on the day I pick it up - if not before.

Further thoughts bring me to the rear bumper which I know has broken trim. I don't know if anyone has some (no matter how crudy) that was complete that I could restore with paint. Rob M's selling trim at £80 or so; a little pricey (as it represents nearly a quarter of what I'm paying for the car lol!)...

Where abouts are you, Phil.

I have a trim on my Cobalt car that is almost certain to get changed for a good one. It's a bit delaminated and has a small amount of damage where it has been hit, but is generally sound.

Hi there, thanks for the offer. I'm in Essex - Chelmsford to be precise... But the car is currently in Hitchin (where Chevronics are based too) and will be going there in a months time or so to collect it. Dunno where you are based?
