Re: 2.1TD Manual S2 M932 RNM & N477 YBL
I was a bit surprised as I fully expected a fail!
However, she has new pads front and back (back was an advisory last time) and is much better for it.
I have been unable to find the hydraulic leak (back of engine somewhere) and despite best efforts probably wont till it becomes like the Ruhr Valley after May 17 1943. It uses about half a litre every couple of months so is just a drip.

Excellent stuff Campbell...
I just hope the leak does not become massive in the most inconvenient of places and at the most inconvenient of times...

The car is one of four dailies for two of us. If it breaks it sits till its fixed. It's had a week off with knackered pads - this week i have had a different car in work every day.
The leak is a minor one and I haven't had to top up for ages. Will find it eventually.

Always keep an eye on the state of your brake pads, I do. Sometimes they just vanish..

Re: 2.1TD Manual S2 M932 RNM & N477 YBL
I knew the pads were iffy as I'd changed tyres over on the front. Then driving back home they got to the starts of the worn down stage, where if you catch it in time and stop driving, you save your discs, and then laid up till MoT - when they did everything else before the brake test to ensure it was worth doing.
I have always had an issue with the abs on the car but never had it on a lexia - sometimes the light comes on and stays on but switching off and restarting sorts it out. Normally if it does it on start up it is the third flash of the abs light when it goes on permanently.
I really should sort the wheel sensors and check them.

Mine does a similar thing Campbell. but I must admit, making sure the fuse in the engine fuse box is pushed right in and my hunch of cleaning the passenger side front sensor, it has behaved itself. When it came on at the garage, picking it up, was just a blip!
I do have a feeling though, that my system does not like damp.

Re: 2.1TD Manual S2 M932 RNM & N477 YBL
Well I have been quiet lately - family issues and constant voyages north have not been kind to me or the cars!
M932 went off the road in November with worn brake pads, and has been Sorned all winter. She has been fired up every two weeks and brought up to temp and citrobatics sorted and will be heading garageward next week for new pads (damn the sticky caliper).
N477 went off the road in December and is awaiting warmer weather before venturing forth. Last weekend she was attacked by a roof tile and now sports a dented bonnet. Less costly than my neighbour who fished her conservatory roof out of my garden.
N477 is leaking terribly and the dehumidifier has been working hard inside her.
Both will be unSOrned soon and heafing for the high road again. I doubt I can cope with the Dispatch Combi much longer.

Re: 2.1TD Manual S2 M932 RNM & N477 YBL
Well, M932 has headed garageward for new pads rather more quickly than expected, after SWMBO'd's Punto convertible expired with HGF today. £400 to fix but £600 to buy a new one and have enough spares to keep it going for a while. SHe won't entertain a Citroen!
Have thrown some K-seal in her car in the hope it'll run a little longer but have warned her it'll expire soon.
In London this weekend with the Dispatch - fully laden!

Well that's a bonus of sorts getting the estate back in action Campbell. I am sure you said the Punto was using coolant about May last year. So it has done well to last this long. So you have been instructed to find another then?
