Those battery operated Jeeps can really soak your time up. You must stop playing with it so often.

You say that but I think you will find my new vehicle is classed as zero (cough) emmissions which allows me to stand up here on the moral high ground and spit on the rest of you, giving it up isnt going to happen :ugeek: ;)

D

On a serious note, it is actualy very good fun as it come with a full function remote control for 'safety' so when the little miss is asleep daddy can take it out in the garden and do some large scale model drifting and doughnuts on the grass ;)

Evening gents

my laptop arrived today so i set about getting diagbox installed on it, hours of fun to be had there i can tell you.
Wth the gear all up and running i had to plug the xm in for a play, no dalogue with the abs, engine or climate control. The suspension ecu was more sociable and reasured me all was well although thats probably duee to the fact the car has not run in three years and the ecu's hav been without power for at least 18months.
a little investigation revealed things that required an earth didnt have one and other things requiring power had none, once rectfied the engine ecu started talking, done some actuator tests and tomy surprise foundsome live data which is nice. a second ceck on the climate control ecu now showed interuptd dialogue durng linkng rather than an outright refusal to talk.
Abs still wont make contact but then although working in the 11 years ve had th car no diag equipment has ever been able to talk to the abs ecu so i suspect i power supply problem there.

All in all an awesome bit of kit you really should not be without in my book, i will now be using it in anger on a C5 a C3 exlusive and a 307 pug this weekend.

Ha, I know that feeling. And also how it is to type with various buttons not working any more on your laptop....so that's why it was so cheap :)
Didn't you get the Chinese instructions, well I did. Can't make anything of it. Happy days, those Chinese lexia's! :)

LOL the Laptop is perfect, really really good and like new in condition and performance, its an old IBM R50e, i was on my tablet that my litttle girl uses to "tap out" or watch peppa pig with, milk and keyboards dont mix as you can see ;)
My Lexia came from a UK seller, not cheap but he did offer the backup service if required and instructions written in the Native text along with free updates as they come onto the black/grey market.
Its very simple, like most things once you know how, which bit are you stuck with on yours?

I can tell you one thing, its very hard to put a car back together you dismantled 3 years ago!
All wiring is back together bar a bit of re routing and the front end is on, cant get the curtesy lights to work on the front doors, the high beam warning light glows dimly with the ignition on and although the climate control now talks to the Lexia the alarm wont. The abs is sorted and was nice and easy as the plug over the rear subframe wasnt pushed fully home.

Nice little surprise today finding the windscreen is cracked from the scuttle up about 12" right in front of the driver :x
I wanted to replace it as it was delaminating but now i have to before i can mot it which is a pita.

Also if anyone has or can take a photo of the wiring behind the n/s headlight / airbox / a/c reciever dryer area that would be great as i have 4 rather large female plugs with 4 or more contacts and i only know where two go at this moment in time. one is for the A/C pressure switch, the other is for the ignition amp.

also on the scrounge for a washer bottle filler neck if anyone has one, for the drivers side as i cant find mine anywhere.
