Being a Series 2, that rear wiper looks a bit nakedly exposed.

Nakedly exposed? Not sure what you mean. It's totally original.

S1 had a "Proper" spoiler that covered the bottom half of the wiper arm, and the fold was further up the arm... S2's look a bit bare.

Urrrm.. No sunroof on the car? I think your market Jan demanded a high level brake light far sooner then ours which came a standard fit on cars from 1998, which if course was towards the end of XM life over here.

As for your picture, I noticed the COTY sticker was NOT reflected back to front and was still showing the correct way in the reflection...

Was that your point Jan?

It does have a sunroof - of course :D

Oh, yes. The sticker. The back of it reflects on the inner glass, which in turn reflects it back onto the rear window. I think that's what happened :)

Suntoof? You love them or you hate them. I take it you belong to the latter. I actually like my sunroof. It happens to be trouble free. The first sunroof I had was in a 1953 Peugeot 403. You had to hand crank it and it was opaque. The time was 1971. Next was a Subaru mini car with a glass manual tilt affair. The time was 1982. Then there was the Honda Accord 1985, glass sliding roof. Then my first XM, 1995-2004 and now the second since 2007. I may have forgotten one or two :)
