The FCF and BXC

Post by CitroJim » Mon Apr 21, 2014 7:18 am

You may be aware that the FCF and BXC have been down for a few days..

The production server has failed and can't be fixed remotely so...

The FCF is now back up but running on a contingency server restored from the Friday backup.

It's not as powerful and the proper one and might be a bit slow..

The BXC will be back soon..

Jim, will posts made now be saved or discarded when the normal server is repaired?

Hi Mike,

Posts made will be retained and transferred to the new production server when it's rebuilt/repaired/whatever you do with dead Windows Servers... I know what I'd like to do with it

Contingency board is running Linux

Hi Malcolm..

I'm good thanks! Must make a post soon to tell what I've been up to else see you all at the X rally next Sunday...

And the BXC is back with us now...

I'm going swimming...

The FCF login problem is now fixed folks...

Malcolm, Steve should have contacted you by now...

It was due to the server proper being behind a proxy..

Let me know of any FCF speed issues as I have no sight of how fast it is as I access it locally and not across the Internet.
