I really need to catch up....I truly thought all cars had trip computers nowadays, no pun intended. I also thought you need to drive with certain restrictions when it comes to a brand new engine. I guess times have changed:) My dad bought a new Renault and he didn't (according to the dealer) had to change the oil for the first 30K kilometers. ?
What colour is your new bolide, I think it is red?

No, seems there's no specific running - in instructions these days Jaap and the first service for mine is at 10,000 Miles or a year. they do say 6,000 miles if the conditions are arduous... Mine will be done at 6,000

It's silver... A rare colour for the C1. Most are red!

The only thing we ever get asked for on C1's Jim is clutches....other than that nothing else seems to ever break :)

Clutches also are around £50 for a LUK one so they seem a good little car all said and done. And most importantly, if anything does go wrong, they don't cost you the earth to put right.

I believe early C1 clutches were prone to failing quickly, but have since been redesigned and are now fine. So interesting you say that Vince.

From ES9 V6 to C1 . . . :? Must have missed something. Love the V6, or similar statement. Well, I'm too far away, of course, to judge or comprehend. Hope the V6 lives on with her new owner.

My sis and bro in law run a C1, in three years nothing has gone wrong, it is nippy, economical and quite fun to drive. There is a lot to be said for having Toyota design a Citroen! (ducks...)

Quite agree actually Charles. :lol: And I hope Toyotas reliability might rub off on Citroen, especially now a Brit is in charge. ;)

Thanks Jan :D Yes, quite a change. I do still have the V6 Xantia and Activa and they're staying... I could never contemplate not having a V6 in my life :D

I've had the C1 getting on a fortnight now and still very delighted with it. It is a town and commuter car par excellence and does the job it was purchased for absolutely perfectly. :-D

Today though I drove both my Activa and V6 Xantia for the first time since I've had the C1.

Gosh :shock: I'm in the habit of getting very used to cars and I don't properly appreciate them until I've had a spell away. That is very much the case with the Xantias. The Activa is grin-inducing fun, despite a whiny wheel bearing, and the V6 is just sublime :-D

Big problem on the V6. No Aux in socket on the wireless :evil: The other two have one...

Both are down with me for serious spannering this weekend :-D That's something else I've not done for far too long as well due to all else happening around me lately although I'm pleased to say one of those things is more or less now resolved :-D

Been busy in the kitchen today. One loaf baked, one very hot chilli con carne cooked, one fruit cake baked and a batch of chocolate brownies made...

Now I'm off to check over all of my cars. Despite the C1 being so new and fresh it's going to be subject to the same regime as the others on a weekly basis. Only problem is I've not yet worked out how to do Citarobics on it...

C1 Citrobatics are tricker than Xantias .... That's all I can say. One design flaw with the C1 I'm afraid Jim.

You could open bakery Jim, they all sound delicious. :D And I can only imagine the silky smoothness of the V6 after the brilliant buzz box C1. Equally fun, but I know which I would truly prefer. :)
