Build an XM for the 25th!!

Post by MTXM » Wed Jul 30, 2014 7:34 pm

I just happened to come across this on a recent internet search and had to try making one myself!! Although a little bit crude there is a reasonable likeness I feel. Perhaps we could get 25 to the anniversary meet in September!! It may be that Russ could also do something with the colours? With regards, Matthew T.

Where on earth did you find those Matthew. Could change the colours and add more detail. Also I think it needs totally redrawing to get the proper look. The band of light and roof aren't right. Just my critical eye!!

The XM models were postcards for sale on ebay Russ and I think located in the US! It would certainly be great if you could tweak them a bit and improve the lines and change colours and what about producing one of each model variant with the appropriate wheels etc? Another possible line of sale perhaps! The BX is certainly more straightforward to assemble as noted by Chris. With regards, Matthew T.

I had the XM ones a few years back, might still have it as a PDF file, there was an Estate version too. Took pride of place on the fireplace until my daughter squashed them

I think Gabor's site had a copy of them as well but I can't find it on there at the moment.
