I dont care what it is or how fast.. I will never have a 2cv.. I wouldnt even put one out if it was on fire.. if you know what I mean.. id rather have the xm sitting dooing nothing... or sell for 2,500 no less... ;)

I'm not struck on 2CV, but a neighbour has had a dozen and keeps returning to them. He loves the one he has at present.

What's them funny buildings int he background in your picture. I didn't think you had shops in Anglesey.

Well we had an eventfull trip from the Wirral to Cosford.

We set off at 10am... we got north of shrewsbury, and the car started to cut out on me. I pulled up and waggled the fuel pump relay, she came back to life. Drove on a bit further, and it happened again.. she revived again and we went a bit further and then DIED completely.

I luckily got off the main road to a layby.. and there we sat for 45 mins or so! This time, it took me a lot longer.

So, I messed around a bit more, fiddled with the wiring harness at the join on top of the engine, and also in the area aound the harness plugs above the gearbox - where all XMs join harness..

In the end I got a jump wire from Battery + to the fuel pump relay, this woke her all up.. And we went on, however, after all the messing around I found she ran perfectly, rest of our visit, and all the way home.

So I think I have prooved to myself, I deafenatly think theres a engine harness fault somewhere!
