Which chrome tape?

Very minimal if at all Paul. The width is almost spot on. You might need to trim a tiny amount off, if so, you simply run a very sharp knife down the join of the trim. You might be able to tuck the tape edge it behind, but I think it's pretty much a perfect fit.
You will need to trim the ends. I ran a longer piece than the trim and used a blunt object to press the tape into the curves to get the shape. Trim with a sharp knife and the tuck the edges under the black plastic with the knife blade. Little more fiddly, but it works.
You need patience and to get the best results take it all carefully. But if you screw one up, just redo, I had too on one, loads of tape on the roll to do this.

But you need a good sharp scalpel knife.

You can Mark, it is possible to peel it off and try again, but if your careful to begin with it's quite simple and usually goes on fine. I used a soft cloth to make sure the tape adheres and so you don't mark it. And peel the backing off as you go. So therefore you need to make sure you line it up, or you'll end up going askew. From memory I think I lined the tape to the top edge and slowly peeled off the backing and whilst doing that to use the cloth pushing the tape downwards so it sticks flat without crinkles. I think my main advice is to not rush it and be methodical.
I strongly recommend cutting a length longer than the trims so you know you have enough when you take the backing off. Best to practice on the front wing trim which is smaller and then you'll get know how the tape behaves and what it is like to work with.

It was Sinky. It was written off in the summer and is now a collection of parts. The shell was crushed in August.
Extensive rear end damage after a lorry and large maxis van hit me on the M6 in July.
