Hi all, MOT test tomorrow morning!!!!

After waiting ages for the fourth and final bit of the exhaust to turn up I fitted the rear cross box today and now have the joy of a totally silent exhaust.

The other LHM leak from the electrovalve turned out to be residual LHM from the previous steering pinion valve job so that's good. I stuck on a new set of front drop links and adjusted the parking brake.

All lights and wipers tested and cleaned inside and out.

Hope they're not too harsh on it tomorrow!!

Here's hoping.

Thanks for the luck because it only went and passed!

Advisory on front brake hoses slight deterioration and slight exhaust gas leakage at the front (probably due to the number of times the front catalyst has been off and on lately)

But it's all good.

Had to renew the tax too and there was a nervous moment this after noon when I had a Police 5 Series behind me on the M74 for a good mile or so with me wondering how quickly the new 'paperless' tax updates on the ANPR system... but seems fine.

Now on to the Hydractive project once more...

Ah cock, nice to get the MOT on Saturday but like some great crappy see-saw of fortune for every up there's a down... visiting my parents tonight (it's quite a steep street) the blimmin XM rolled down and bumped the neighbour's car.... the guy was raging like I'd done it on purpose.... anyway - no damage to his one by XM headlight smashed....

On the plus side - at least it happened AFTER the MOT test!

I'd post a picture but I just got my phone back from Sony after a warranty repair and the phone is fully reset - not able yet to upload photos

How unfortunate...thankfully you only hit a red monstrous thing and too bad the owner was even worse. It's only a glass. Did you forget to put it in gear or put the hand or is it foot brake on?
Sorry I can't help you with the glass but there are sure loads of them around?

Forgot to leave in gear - maybe didn't press the brake enough so it is my fault. Handbrake was only just adjusted before MOT on Saturday there.

O well...

Oh no Graeme... You can't win! His car will be fine. Unfortunately you have found the XMs achilles heal. The nose is quite a fragile thing. As I found out too. Lost the whole lot on my grey one. You're lucky the bonnet didn't get dented too.
Having said all that, it is easily fixed. :)
