New business venture...

Post by Vince » Thu Nov 13, 2014 4:40 pm

Guys, I've made a huge decision after finding myself again out of work..I cant take it anymore working for companies who dont value either you or the sacrifices you make for their business.

Im starting out on my own! :D

Ill be buying and selling cars as a few friends of mine already do this and have made very successful careers from it. They have pooled together and kindly offered to support me and teach me the ropes...even finance the initial push.

Ill still be detailing cars and will be promoting Pallas A.R. more around and about, but as for the car sales business i was thinking of names.....Hmmm

Pallas Autos is taken already so im thinking "Pallas cars" or "Pallas Motors" but they sounded a little boring...

Anyone got any ideas?

Great news Vince. Good luck with your new venture. :)

What about Automobiles Pallas. French feel, but maybe a bit long. Pity about Pallas Autos being already used.

I can only see one company simply called "Pallas" and they are a german company selling security.....as they are .com, im wondering can i use the same simple name and .co.uk it?

Russ, i could do with you pricing me up some stickers....a simple design...Ill send you a picture and description of what im looking for ;)

Good luck, Vince—and this is from someone who, except for maybe 2 years around college, never worked for anybody else but myself. :-)

One more vote for Automobiles Pallas, you might abbreviate it on the phone to Auto Pallas but I don't think that extra second will ruin your plans. :-) Pallas.com is somebody German, yes, and not even actually used, what a shame. Pallas.co.uk is also parked by somebody who seeks to collect a premium for it. Both autopallas.co.uk and auto-pallas.co.uk are up for grabs, move quickly now, don't wait a minute, even if you don't yet have the site to host there, park both domains so that nobody else can get hold of it. If you need a .com as well, only the auto-pallas.com version is still available (autopallas.com is registered from Japan), though, but .co.uk seems to be so well established that I'm not sure you need the .com as well.

Again, if you're comfortable with the name itself, move very quickly, within minutes, if possible.
Bye,
Gábor

Good luck with the venture, I have known people to do very well trading cars, but you have to have the right personality to keep sane while keeping most of the customers happy.

If you get a domain name (or two), I have a facility to park it and put up a holding/home page until you get sorted.

Hope it works for you Vince, I gave up after things just didnt work.. though, you are in a better area for selling..

Selling cheap cars I found a bit of a funny thing, where people wanted things to be PERFECT... when clearly cars were cheap to reflect this, weither I was missing the point of something I dont know!

GOOD LUCK in your descision!

Very true Neil,,,

Ive done the maths and have several areas for income, stock of cars for cash flow is plenty around manchester, but i have two close friends who already run successful cars sales businesses in Blackburn, i will be also helping source cars for them and earning a few hundred quid per car selling to them. I have access to stock they find harder to get hold of.

It all stacks up on paper and i can buy and sell with the best of them so it should be good ;)
