The 24v prv is adequet enough really for the chassis if driven correctly.. I think with a blower though very attractive would be a bit much.. we need to find a venturi in the scrappers.. wernt they the ones who did a turbo 24v unit?

Renault Alpine GTA I believe... Venturi as well most likely. Can you imagine a turbo 24V in an XM. Might need an extra spoiler!

Renault didnt turbo the 24v prv engine.. actually they never used the 24v in their cars. Only the 605 and XM got it..
its venturi only that officially did the turbo 24v prv giving around 300bhp...
if you see an alpine with a 24v prv its a personal install not offical

Oh.... I see. I stand corrected. I was actually told that info by someone at Prescott La Vie en Bleu this year. Many GTA's about there. hmmmmm interesting.

You are quite right Paul it was the Venturi Atlantique which had the turbo 24v v6. The GTA got a turbo 12v PRV.
Would be quite interesting to see the difference of the turbo 12v against the standard 24v.

The 12v v6 in the 25 was about 196bhp but theres been a few tunes in the alpine..
the wiki pediea entry for the alpines gives an engine and bhp list..

A friend got about 320bhp out of a Honda 1800 CRX with a home grown turbo.
