Uh oh they are breeding!

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Uh oh they are breeding!

Post by onza100 » Fri Nov 28, 2014 12:15 pm

Went and picked up this mk1.5 2.1td SED yesterday.

Image
Looks a little sorry for herself but drives really nicely.

Plan is to fix her and get an mot.
Might be asking for advice starting with the abs fault in the other thread.
Hopefully you guys are as helpful as normal :D

One thing she has proven is I much prefer the earlier cars and having a manual gearbox.

Are they cloth seats.
I just gone though all that ABS problems myself its a right pain in the *** neck, have problem still with the turbo that could be all down to the cheap German Copper wire that was used in Citroens.
But on the whole it don't look to bad on the out side just needs the Egg Coat Paint respray

Absolutely agree. Mk1 interiors are so much nicer. Good to see another SED saved. Best of luck with the ABS. :)

Very true, the leather is tougher, and mk2 leather seats seem to me much more comfy. Really padded and soft.
It's the look of the mk1 interior that suits the XM so well.

Mk.1 Dash's are better quailty as a whole, I find the Mk.2 dash has a lot of cheaper LOOKING plastic plain sections on it...

However, this is the bug bear, the S2 cars ARE more refined and quieter..

Totally agree. They are much more refined and the later V6's feel very modern and no different to any car on sale today.

So is Onza's XM green. Looks it to me.
