Ciaran,

How about producing a world map (with maybe a European/UK part enlargement) showing where all of us reside? Info taken from profile? Might be an inducement for some of this info actually to be filled in!!

Little green spheres could be dotted around :)

Very good idea Chris, in fact I think there's a little Google maps add-on that can do that automatically, will look into it :)

I saw another Xm this week in Glasgow and it would be interesting to see how many forum members are around this area

Hi Ciaran, I like the idea, and that of Chris, to mark with a sphere symbol, perhaps include an " L " for those of us with a LEXIA prepared to share, or a " D " for other diagnostics, or even " S " for those that have spares available ? Maybe we can each help keep more on the road. We all could benefit.

This is getting more interesting by the minute :D

Unfortunately I wasn't able to do anything yesterday because the site which hosts add-ons repository for the forum software was hacked over the weekend and is currently down and it contains some API stuff I need, but hopefully it will be back soon.

Well I found a Google Maps API someone else had written and thought I'd give it a go.

Turns out the documentation is in German, the program author long since AWOL and the SQL syntax is completely wrong for our type of database, some retrofitting will be done over the next few days
Vorsprung durch technik indeed.

Might be easier to just write a new one specific for our needs, could well do that yet.
