Well down here in the Cotswolds it has been nothing but sunshine and blue skies.

So I got out there and like an old fashioned cliche, cleaned the XM this afternoon. I think the last time I really washed it was before the XM25 weekend. So it was grubby.
After spending so much time glued to my computer recently, it was so nice to just be out side and do something totally different. I like Vince do find cleaning and polishing the car sort of therapeutic in a way. Seems mad, but I do!
I managed to polish out some nasty scratches on the bonnet, but the nosecone is shot to put it bluntly. It needs repainting. Something for the spring maybe....
The front bumper I repainted in the summer has lasted very well indeed. Considering it's also the grey Xm's front bumper which had been in the shunt, it's okay. I need to swap over the chrome trim however.
Looking at the car, there's very little parking dings unlike my grey Xm. So the panels are pretty good. It's not untill you wash the car or really pay attention to it that you notice silly things like that.
The carpet in the drivers footwell, which got a good dose of coolant in October has finally dried out. I got a hair drier on it to make sure.
The leather, I treated with some E45 aqueous cream. That works well. So it's all looking quite smart.
I didn't get any pics as the light faded by the time I finished, but I will try tomorrow. Just imagine a shiny mandarin XM!
