Re: Removing side trims
Just to confirm that you do not necessarily have to remove the door cards to remove the side trims Vince and I would avoid further disturbance where possible. If the cards have not been off before you must also break through the insulation foam to reach the trim fixings. Regards, Matthew T.

Re: Removing side trims
It's what I would do Vince. It's what I did. You just need a sharp flat Stanley knife blade to tuck the ends into the gaps. It can be done easily.
Look forward to the results.

Re: Removing side trims
The chrome trim inserts alone can be prised off too, have done it when I put chrome tape on mine, took them in the house, cleaned well etc. They won't break unless you brutalise them. The front wing small one is doable too. Although if I had to do the job again, I wouldn't, not worth it really. I'd just apply the tape directly.

Re: Removing side trims
Good to know Jorgy....Ill try them in situ first and if i struggle ill remove the chrome bits on their own..I remember seperating them on the xantia i owned.jorgy wrote:The chrome trim inserts alone can be prised off too, have done it when I put chrome tape on mine, took them in the house, cleaned well etc. They won't break unless you brutalise them.
