Removing side trims

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Just to confirm that you do not necessarily have to remove the door cards to remove the side trims Vince and I would avoid further disturbance where possible. If the cards have not been off before you must also break through the insulation foam to reach the trim fixings. Regards, Matthew T.

Thanks guys....To be honest it sounds like its more potential trouble than its worth :?

Ill just apply the tape with the trims in place :P

It's what I would do Vince. It's what I did. You just need a sharp flat Stanley knife blade to tuck the ends into the gaps. It can be done easily.

The chrome trim inserts alone can be prised off too, have done it when I put chrome tape on mine, took them in the house, cleaned well etc. They won't break unless you brutalise them. The front wing small one is doable too. Although if I had to do the job again, I wouldn't, not worth it really. I'd just apply the tape directly.

Good to know Jorgy....Ill try them in situ first and if i struggle ill remove the chrome bits on their own..I remember seperating them on the xantia i owned.
