Captainhaddok, I wonder how many roadworthy ones are knocking around this country?! ;)
I don't know. I've got 2 on the road, and only saw one Irish Estate once in 3,5 years. Not too many, that is for sure

Haven't been on here in a while, but I have a quick question...
I think I read on here that the battery shouldn't be disconnected straight away after parking the car. Something about relieving pressure I think...
Well when I was putting the car into hibernation I waited to hear the click/buzz before disconnecting...hope I did it right!?

Phew! Thanks!

Out of interest what would happen if the battery was disconnected before this though?

Hello all, not been on here in a long time. Brought the XM out of hibernation today to give it a little run to keep everything free :)
Image

Notice anything in the pic? Yes, near the near-side wheel - quite of bit of Citroen blood :(

Didn't notice it at the time, only discovered the puddle hours later by Dad and after putting the car back in the garage for another few months. Will check it out when I bring it out again.

Just wondering if anyone could make any educated guesses what may be wrong and point me in a probably direction when I do get to check it out?

It pissed this amount out in about 10 mins. The only thing I noticed at the time was a hydraulic level warning afterward when driving up a steep hill.

Can't understand why I didn't notice it.

Thanks all

I'd hazard a guess at either a strut return pipe or the actual brake pipe that feeds the caliper.

Strut return hose. They go brittle after about 15 years and crack. Readily available from GSF on eBay.
