Not much to report but I changed the track rod end and had the tracking done.
I still have an annoying rattle I can't find in the front right suspension.
I've changed the oil for total synthetic and changed the filters.
Then I went to wrexham and back 400 more miles

Really like those photos . . .
Quite sinister and wedge-like, especially with what could be moonlight on the front trim . . .
Or could it be some kind of inner demon about to break free?
Spielberg would be proud . . .

nice car and indeed from a photographic point of view, my first thought was that it was a model, rather than a real car. Harbour lights no doubt, acting as a kitchen table lamp

Re: Paul's silver 2.1 VSX TD
Quick update, I've dropped my speedlines off at the blasters to have the old paint removed.
Undecided on what colour to paint them though I'm torn between silver, dark metallic grey, black or a combination. Any thoughts?
Whilst they aren't ready for summer tyres I've borrowed the alloys from my Sed project. My steel wheels have winter tyres on and the sidewalls are looking worse for wear.
I also changed the front disc's and pads last week for some reason I had the anti rattle plates missing but only on one side. Luckily my spares car had the missing items.
The rubber boots on the slider are missing on the passenger side so I'm considering having my spare calipers refurbished and fitting those at some point.
Did another comfortable 660 mile trip up to yorkshire to pick up some replacement parts for my Cx.

Re: Paul's silver 2.1 VSX
Been busily cleaning the Xm up a panel at a time when I get a spare moment.
I hate orange peel in paint so this has involved quite a bit of wet flatting and compounding.
So far I've done the roof, bonnet and passenger side front wingeach panel taking a fair few hours.
I think its worth it.

I also got around to removing the tow bar the other day. I don't have the towing option on my licence so would need to do a trailer test to tow anything substantial.
I decided the car would look much better without.
On removal I was very glad I couldn't tow as it had rusted through in many places and would have undoubtedly fallen apart. The mess on the floor is all from the tow bar!

Much better I think.

I then had a nice trip to Weston super mare to collect a new rear bumper I'd bought on ebay.
This was followed by a trip to the forest of dean to see the very helpful Campbell who had some lovely leather for sale.
It all fitted in easily.

And the lovely seats in my workshop,

I also got the call to say my wheels were done.

I just need a good front bumper now and I'll be having a silver painting session.
