Sorry to hear that Ray, have you fitted the headlining yet? Where is it leaking from?

No, not put it all back together, wanted to be sure it wasn't leaking before I did. It's dripping down from the front right hand inside corner.
I suspect a flaw in the bonding. Will remove and try again. I blame Russ for using the "L" word...

Oh it is Russ' fault, no doubt about it.
In the mean time park the car facing up hill, that may help.

There are no excuses.... Cheeky bar stewards! I really can't apologise enough Ray.. stupid slip of the tongue.

That is interesting. That's where mine kept letting in water. By the time I had sorted it, it was down to a slight seep. This is what I had to do to my sunroof to fix it....although I expect I hadn't put enough bonding sealant on that corner.

Check to see if you have any sealant that has splurged out from between the glass and the frame. That stops the weather seal from sealing it all properly. I found this on mine and removing the excess worked.
I found it's also easy to not get the seal to sit right around the corners. It can lift up a bit. A good rubber mallet helps.
I even ended up running a bead of black gasket sealant between the glass and under the seal once in place. That really helped. Not ideal any of it really, more fudges than real fixing.

Best of luck fixing it and I won't mention the L word again. :)

It's ok Russ, I suspect it's to do with the bonding mastic, I had terrible trouble trying to get it out of the tube, even after heating it.
I'll strip it all down again and try to re-seal it.

Funny enough, I had the same problem on the corners, but the front ones seemed to fit well, I too also considered applying a light bead of sealant in the seal, I may do this second time round. It's all trial and error.

Must echo the less-than-perfect result when fitting a brand new edge seal to the glass and frame.

Found that the new seal tended to ripple/pucker at the corners, and even did the same where it passed over a bit of steel frame that wasn't in perfect condition (despite removing all rusted/swollen metal).

In the end, as well as polyurethane sealant on all the surfaces, I needed to use a number of spring clips to hold parts of the seal in contact with the glass top surface, while the sealant cured.

Trimmed off the excess, and it hasn't leaked, but is less than perfect looking. Did also find that the new edge seal was an extremely tight fit in the roof aperture, and wouldn't shut under motor power, despite being properly aligned. It needed firmly easing into the closed position, by hand and with short bursts of the motor. Guess that factory-fitted sunroofs were never tight for the original customer, because the cars could have sat around for months or years before sale, allowing the seal to ease!

I had the exact same issue. It was so difficult getting the damn stuff out the tube.
