Scrapping S1 2.1 Turbo hatch

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Scrapping S1 2.1 Turbo hatch

Post by jamieb » Mon Apr 25, 2016 8:19 am

Hi there

I'm reluctantly having to scrap my J reg S1 2.1 TD hatchback. Mechanically sound but it's got rust on all four jacking points, on the rear subframe and is an MOT fail (due next month).

Turbo works, Lucas pump works, wing mirrors work, as do window winder motors (front only in my model) as do lights etc. Nose and rear bumper scuffed but not cracked. FDV is reconditioned by Plieides and fitted three (approx) years ago . Bodywork non rusty but far from pristine. Plipper, glove box catch and strut NON functioning alas.

Also have set of six wheel S1 alloys (viewtopic.php?t=1223" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) (no tyres) and a Philips 6CD autochanger box (DC 022).

It must be worth something to someone but I can't break it as I live in London and it lives on the street. Short window of time when it can still be driven before MOT and tax runs out .... Any takers?

Hello, do you have a pic of the car please? And colour code too which can be found under the bonnet behind the passengers side headlight? Many thanks

Can't read the paint code but I'm 99.9999% certain it's Silicon Grey. Pics to follow.

Yeah always on the look out for the ones in the top right with the big central plastic disc as I think they look the best and most retro of the alloys :)
