Interesting how just softer seals have helped. Nice one Dean! But I thought you had rebuilt this gearbox?

Yes Russ, only the top end though, valveblock was done and drive shaft seals etc, didnt bother with this......now i have.

In the S1 V624v any wind noise is helpfully masked by the throb of the engine!

In the 2.0 n/a 8v wind noise is a blessing as you then know you're actually getting somewhere.

Similar story in a 2.1 auto.

If the 8v can keep up in the outside lane without breaking a sweat I'm sure the 2.1 copes just fine, like me when I get out of bed in the mornings these days they just need a little time to get going.

Yeah... You're right. They clip along quite nicely really... Just don't show it a massive hill!
I have put some of the rubber seal on the centre door join. Already made a difference in wind noise reduction. I'm impressed. gonna do more!

I've done the cill to door bottom joints in that stuff, no more bud sprayed up in the door shuts and it also makes a difference to noise, go mad, I've done everything

I think I might! Did you do get thicker stuff for the sills?

I put it down the boot panel gaps and it looks so much better.

No i didnt get the thicker stuff, if you put it right on the edge of the cill it just touches the door, ideally you need bigger stuff but i had 4 packs of the smallr stuff i put the link to so i used it, it does look better, doing around the bonnet is nice when you wash it too as the water doesnt splay all over the clean engine bay............if your sad and polish the engine bay that is a problem.
