I just look for the cheapest.

(Some would say that's to do with having short arms and deep pockets).

I would be wary of the cheapest petrol, as modern petrol is only about 40% petrol, the rest being the additives. Due tot eh way an indirect petrol engine works, the valves and internals can become very coked and gummed without sufficient cleaning additives.

Nothing really to report with the XM, no issues, about to tick over to 100k miles, just plodding along nicely.
I have however just bought another french, petrol automatic, bit newer this time and not for keeping. All i will say at the moment is it is known for having Coil pack problems has just had a new digital dash and i think its a bit boring.

Details to follow

Spent all day with the new toy today, the coil packs tested out fine but other ignition components not so much......

Ive been fishing but without success, the piston crown looks clean and with just a few little pits so i think the ground electrode is in the exhaust, compression is good so the valves must be ok, off shopping for new plugs tomorrow and see if it runs fine before progressing to new brakes and a full service.

I have got 3 sacks of rubbish out of the car today and emptied the hoover twice, dirty is not the word!!!
