XM series 1 plastic centre cap for UFO alloy

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

XM series 1 plastic centre cap for UFO alloy

Post by Murray » Mon Jun 20, 2016 8:04 pm

Hi there, I have been looking, without success for a hub cap (flat centre plastic disc) to fit to one of my UFO alloys on my 1989 2.0 SEI. Has any one out there got one they could sell me? I would be totally chuffed as the car looks very sorry with one missing, if not any ideas on how I could find one? many thanks Murray

Hi Murray, I think your alloys are more commonly known as 'Italia' style alloys. I think there was a guy on the Citroen XM chat room on Facebook selling 2 of these discs.

Failing that, why not pop along to the CCC National meet in July, some may be for sale there and it would be great to see your XM.

Sorry the last owner told me they were called UFO, apologies,

I am based in East Grinstead - West Sussex

A picture of my car was posted by one of our members on my new members thread back in December 2015

It's an early (RP4768) 1989 2.0 SEI with 38k miles but looking sad after we lost one of the wheel covers after wheel refurbishment.

Still after a tow hook cover but I know that one is going to be even harder to find than the wheel cover!

If you could pass on the details of the man your thought may have one that would be much appreciated,

Just trying to make the car as smart as it can be, I just love driving it!

Many thanks

Murray

No apologies needed Murray,

Just to clarify... When you say tow hook cover do you mean the towing eye cover on the passenger side lower front bumper?

If you look for Citroen XM chat room on Facebook, The guy is called Brava Greg, I'm sure he had a couple for sale not so long ago.

Sorry not on Facebook as I would just have no idea what to do, is there any other way to get his details or for him to get my email address?

Murray.hilborne@marco.co.uk

Any help to get me in touch with this guy would be really appreciated,

Also what date and venue is the national meeting? I would love to be there,

Many thanks

Murray

Those towing eye covers are like hen's teeth.

I'm looking forward to seeing your car at the National.
